As a math teacher, my goal for my students is to help them develop a growth mindset.I want to inspire them to be motivated and enthusiastic about math.I want  to make learning relevant so they can make connections from what they are learning in the classroom to the outside world. I want them to be patient problem solvers independently and collaboratively with peers.  I want them to set personal goals and see success reaching them. My ultimate goal for my students is that they can step out of my classroom and have the confidence to take on the world.

Hello! I’m Mrs. Levengood! I am a 2006 Brandywine Heights graduate. To pursue my passion to teach, I attended Bloomsburg University. I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2010 with a dual degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (N-12). I am also highly certified in Middle School Language Arts(7-9). I received my Masters in Education with a concentration in Differentiated Instruction. Two summers ago, I started my journey towards my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with K-12 Principal and Supervisory Certificate at Kutztown University. During my time at Brandywine and Bloomsburg, I played field hockey. Playing sports, spending time with my husband, son, daughter, dog, being with friends and family, and being outside are some of the things I like to do in my free time. Below is a picture of my family. My little peanut, Cameron Ryan, will be four this fall. My little princess, Skylar Lyndsay, will be 2 Christmas Eve.  I also have a picture of my dog Blazee and son when he was two. My dog is ten years old. She does everything with us from playing sports, hiking, and swimming. She is one of our best friends! 🙂

Two years ago, I had the opportunity to represent the Brandywine Heights Area School District by running for the Teacher of the Year- 2017. While I did not win, I was one of the top 12 finalist in Pennsylvania. It was such a wonderful opportunity! I met a lot of amazing people. Below are two pictures from our trip to  Hershey. In the first picture is our principal-Mr. Farina, student representative- Alex Hersh, Director of Pupil Services- Mrs. Darrach, Assistant Superintendant- Mr. Voelker, and our Superintendant-  Mr. Potteiger. The second picture is when we visited the Governor’s mansion. In the picture is Mrs. Wolf and my son shaking hands. He wanted to shake her hand just like his mommy! 🙂

I am also a Board Member for the Brandywine Heights Community Task Force! Please visit the website to see upcoming events!!
